Paths

Post by Vantablack » Mon Jan 21, 2019 3:28 am

Welcome to the megathread for Last Light Paths.

What is a Path?

Where Base Classes are what you pick during character creation, a path is a sort of "sub-class". They are a more specialized, or altered version of the Base Class they are linked to, and are typically chosen at level 1 with new characters (some exceptions may exist). The Path will alter their associated Base Class no matter how many levels you take in it. Essentially, your Base Class BECOMES your Path.

How do I follow a Path?

Most Paths are chosen at level 1 in the Server Entry. Again, some exceptions may exist. In order to follow a Path, you must create a character with the proper Base Class, as well as follow all pre-requisites for the Path before you will be allowed to take it. Remember, Path choices are irrevocable.

Paths: The Commoner

Post by Vantablack » Mon Feb 11, 2019 11:51 pm

The Commoner
Base Class: Fighter
Alignments Supported: All
Pre-Requisites: None

Flavor Introduction: A commoner is your average, everyday person. They do not often leave the safety of their hometown, and focus more on family life than the dangerous concerns of the adventurer. They are often averse to risk, but many commoners enter into the militia to protect their kin.

Path Description:
1. Commoners lose the ability to gain XP from kills.
2. In exchange, Commoners gain a much higher amount of passive hourly XP instead.
3. A commoner lose 3 times the Soul Vitality upon death as any other person.
4. Commoners cannot multiclass into any other class except for Bard, Rogue, or Weaponmaster. Commoners are limited to only 5 levels of Rogue OR Bard at any point in time.
5. Commoners will receive bonuses to Crafting when the Crafting update is released.
